Professional consumer behavior analysis agency Decoupling recently released a survey report showing that BYD has become the most satisfying car brand for Brazilian consumers.

According to a report by the Brazilian website "autoesporte" on September 24, researchers analyzed over 10,000 online reviews from the first quarter of 2025 in this survey. The survey utilized a method developed by Harvard University, breaking evaluation metrics into 17 thematic dimensions.

Decoupling utilized artificial intelligence tools to integrate data from 12 car manufacturers, including BYD, Chevrolet, Citroën, Fiat, Hyundai, Honda, and others. The survey covered car brands with higher numbers of reviews.

BYD ranked first in overall scores, surpassing Honda and Hyundai, which had the highest overall scores in the 2024 rankings. Jeep ranked second, ahead of Honda and Hyundai. Additionally, in the 17 thematic dimensions assessed by Decoupling, BYD ranked in the top three in 10 dimensions.

According to consumer feedback, BYD's most outstanding strengths lie in the convenience of website access, in-store experiences, and vehicle test drives. Furthermore, the brand also performed well in dealer website visits, showroom model comparisons, and vehicle delivery processes.

On the other hand, Volkswagen was one of the brands with the most negative reviews, scoring lowest in six out of the 17 thematic dimensions. The brand performed particularly poorly in dealer services, optional configurations, and price negotiation.

Furthermore, while Volkswagen had the most low-scoring areas, Ford had the lowest overall ranking, placing at the bottom of the list. This was mainly due to Ford's poor performance in vehicle test drives, financing options, and accessory selection.

Decoupling also revealed Brazilian drivers' views on the effectiveness of various evaluation metrics in the survey. Test driving received the highest ratings, followed by brand website visits and dealer services. On the other hand, vehicle delivery waiting times received the lowest ratings.
