According to the latest data from Brazil's Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC) foreign trade statistics system Comex Stat, in the first three months of 2025, Brazil's total exports to Russia and China reached a remarkable 20 billion US dollars.

As reported by "CNN Brazil" on May 6, China remains the primary destination for Brazil's exported goods, with exports amounting to 19.8 billion US dollars in the first quarter. The main products Brazil exports to China include seeds and grains (6.6 billion US dollars), ores (4.2 billion US dollars), fuels (3.9 billion US dollars), and meat (1.8 billion US dollars).

Meanwhile, Brazil's exports to Russia totaled 338 million US dollars. Coffee was the highest traded commodity, reaching 135 million US dollars. This was followed by meat (94 million US dollars), seeds and grains (35 million US dollars), and tobacco (25 million US dollars).

Zhongjin understands that despite the challenges faced by Brazil's foreign trade with Russia due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and complex international situations, some positive signs have emerged, especially in the fuel market. The Brazilian government is actively expanding its export markets to Russia and China, focusing on product diversification with a particular emphasis on the meat trade. Brazil aims to explore new markets in these two populous countries, bringing greater growth potential to its export trade.

Amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict and complex international scenarios, Brazil is making diplomatic efforts to maintain its commercial ties with Russia, which is particularly significant in the fertilizer trade as fertilizers are essential inputs for Brazil's agribusiness sector.
