Appreach recently released the top 15 app download rankings for the first quarter of 2025 in Brazil, revealing new trends in Brazilian digital consumption. The social platform TikTok maintains its top position.

According to a report from the Brazilian website "cartacapital" on April 19th, survey data shows that the TikTok app had over 20 million downloads in the first quarter of this year, continuing to lead the ranking. Following closely behind is Temu, the cross-border e-commerce platform under the Chinese company Pinduoduo, with competitive pricing and sharp digital marketing strategies that have won favor among Brazilian consumers.

In the rankings, Temu's downloads reached 19.8 million, surpassing traditional retail giant Mercado Livre at third place with 12.1 million downloads and the social platform Instagram at fourth place with 11.9 million downloads.

Additionally, government public services and financial services applications performed well in this ranking. Data shows that government applications like Gov.br (11.3 million downloads, fifth place), Carteira de Trabalho Digital (7.1 million downloads, ninth place), and Meu SUS Digital (5.5 million downloads, 14th place) also made it to the top 15, indicating that Brazilians are increasingly inclined to use apps to address daily issues. Furthermore, the digital bank app Nubank continues to maintain a prominent position, with 8.9 million downloads this quarter, ranking sixth.

It is understood that beyond download numbers, this ranking also reflects changes in digital market advertising strategies. Felipe Moura, the regional manager of Appreach, pointed out that consumers' attention is increasingly focused on app pages, where apps are no longer just a channel but a crucial factor in capturing consumer attention. He mentioned that platforms that tell brand stories in a clear, targeted, and data-driven manner will be successful.

Moura also emphasized that App Store Optimization (ASO) has become one of the core strategies to ensure click-through rates and downloads, similar to how Search Engine Optimization (SEO) impacted website traffic in the past, ASO determines the attractiveness and download rates of apps.

Survey data indicates that core trends in the future development of the digital advertising industry include large-scale personalized ad placements, storytelling content marketing, and data-driven strategic decision-making. Appreach stresses that digital advertising must adapt to the dynamic changes in consumer behavior, continuously optimizing adjustments, as modern consumers not only demand entertainment but also seek complete basic services and practical solutions in the mobile environment.
