Maersk has resumed partial vessel booking services at certain Middle Eastern ports since March 16. They have reinstated dry cargo import and export bookings at the ports of Sohar in Oman and Khalifa in the UAE, as well as reefer, dangerous goods, and special cargo import and export bookings at the ports of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah in Saudi Arabia, and Aqaba in Jordan.

According to Maersk's latest operational announcement for the Middle East region, the company has started to restore import and export booking services at select ports in the Middle East from March 16.

Furthermore, Maersk has mentioned that they are accepting reefer, dangerous goods, and special cargo import and export bookings at the ports of Jeddah, King Abdullah, and Aqaba. They are also accepting dry cargo import and export bookings from Sohar and Khalifa. Maersk also states that they have begun to accept dry cargo import and export bookings from ports in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah and King Abdullah), Jordan, Oman (Salalah), Lebanon, and Israel.

Previously, Maersk had temporarily suspended all reefer, dangerous goods, and special cargo import and export bookings in the UAE, Oman, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, as well as all dry cargo import and export bookings in the UAE, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia (Dammam and Jubail), Oman (Sohar), and Bahrain.

Maersk emphasizes that they are closely monitoring developments in the Middle East region and have taken proactive measures to ensure the safety of their employees, the integrity of goods, and the stability of their operational network. The company also advises that due to the instability in the Middle East region, booking information may be subject to changes.
